Miranda Atembeshu Fondem

Miss Atembeshu Miranda is a PhD student at Vrije University Brussels. She is a self-sponsored researcher. Her topic of research is: "Understanding Women's Perspective of Reproductive Justice. A qualitative Study of Sub Saharan African Migrant Women Living in Belgium." The purpose of the research is to find out from the voices of this group of women how intersecting identities such as culture, religion, race, class, relationship status, social justice, immigration and economic status shape their decisions on 

- lf and when she will have a baby and the condition under which she will give birth

- lf she will not have a baby and her options for preventing and ending a pregnancy

- Parent the children she has with the necessary social support in safe environments and healthy communities and without fear of violence from (ex) partner, individuals or the government
