Prof. Dr. Katarzyna Ruchel-Stockmans

Katarzyna Ruchel-Stockmans is assistant professor in photography and contemporary art at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She holds a PhD in art history from KU Leuven. On top of that, she also has a master's degree in cultural studies which she obtained from KU Leuven and a master's in philosophy which she obtained from UPJP2 Cracow. Furthermore, Katarzyna is author of the book 'Images Performing History: Photography and Representations of the Past in European Art after 1989' (LUP, 2015).
